New 2023 internal funding call now open

On March 6, 2023, the 10th annual call for the main component of Koç University’s Scientific Research Projects funding program, “Seed Research Fund Program” (KU-SRF) was announced, with a new accompanying component: “Research Support for Female Academics after Career Breaks Program” (Return-to-Research) is also open for applications, developed in collaboration with the Gender Equality Office. This innovative component supports female academics who are returning to academia after taking a career break for caregiving responsibilities. The Return-to-Research grant aligns with Koç University’s Gender Equality Plan action item, aiming to develop a funding scheme for employees to support their research after family-related breaks.

Principal Investigators (faculty and research faculty) choose either the “Seed Research Fund Program” or “Research Support for Female Academics after Career Breaks Program” options according to their eligibility.

• Call opening: 6 March 2023
• Submission deadline: 28 April 2023 (23:59)
• Evaluations and notifications: May 2023
• Projects start: July 2023

Applications are completed by sending the following forms to srf@ku.edu.tr : “Proposal Form” (pdf format), “Budget Table” (Excel format) a CV (pdf format). Proposals are prepared in English.
