Koç University Sponsored Research Office (shortly, SRO) was established in November 2021 as a research support unit affiliated to the Vice President for Research and Development.

In continuous coordination and cooperation with Koç University Technology Transfer Office (TTO), the focus of our unit is to provide “idea/project development” services in international and national sponsored research and innovation programs and industry collaborations. Our main priorities are to match research needs with sponsored programs, to multiply information regarding opportunities, to assist researchers in other administrative preparations in parallel with the support provided by TTO in budget designs during funding applications, and to manage the preparation of project agreements. In addition, analysis studies to support the development of research and innovation strategies at Koç University fall under our responsibility.
